Cities of Sauriv
Amilion is the golden city, the capitol of The Ressan. It was build upon ruins of the Old Kingdom, and shows the lost glory of a past age. The merchant quarter off of its bustling port displays wares from across Edar, from powerful magic items to mundane trinkets. Its citizens wander the streets and open squares without fear of attack, protected by their thick walls and the Amilion guard.
Donthal is a port city in Sauriv, and serves as a gateway to Jaecr. The city extends all the way to the edge of the ocean, with ships coming and going daily. It has managed to stay neutral in the current Ressan / Irlyum conflict, and has embassies representing both sides within its walls. Many merchants and travelers crossing between Sauriv and Jaecr walk its dirt roads and frequent its many inns.
In the forests of central Sauriv lies the city of Lydel. Travelers bound often mistake it for an usually dense stretch of forest – but a closer look reveals the trees to be woven too precisely to be entirely natural. As the gates open upon the city, a weary adventurer may walk down the cobblestone streets, alive with small rivulets of water, and think they were traveling through a stretch of pristine forest. The Dryad’s Drink can provide lodging for the tired, while those with money to spend may seek out leafweave or the crafts of the city’s mages. The Hall of Larenthian is home to the city leadership, who are currently in league with the Ressan against the injustices of the world.
In the east of Suariv, among the wilds of Halitrad, sits the shining city of Nasius. Its chrome walls and buildings scrape the sky – and make it a dangerous place for any spellcasters who do not heed the guard’s warnings. Populated by the warforged, it is efficient and streamlined. The Great Spire dominates the buildings within, rising to pierce the clouds. Within, the council governs the warforged populace and keeps everything running.
